Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, a legend who lived from 1452 to 1519, is famous for his great works in art, “Mona Lisa” and “The last supper”. His splendid works on art have mesmerized everyone. Mona Lisa, with her enigmatic smile, has put people searching around for the reason for such a smile. The last supper one of the remarkable religious paintings has been considered a master piece by artists of all time. His hands have a magic that can steal any heart. But there is something more amazing to know about Da Vinci.
Only some people know that Leonardo is a polymath. He is one those gifted persons who have expertise on more than one field. His works cover various domains such as painting, mathematics, unconventional inventions, geology, botany, anatomy, architecture and a lot more. Not many people can spot out his works other than marvelous paintings. But Leonardo was valued a brilliant engineer too. He came out with designs that were unimaginable in his era but are great devices now. His designs include helicopter, calculator and even a solar power concentrator. His varied interest gave him the name “Renaissance Man”.
With the knowledge of only around 15 paintings and few written records of Da Vinci we claim that he is a genius but there are lots more he came out with. Unfortunately many of his works which is believed to have high technology inventions are destroyed due to natural reasons or his own experimentation! It is absolutely exciting to hear about this legend but the real lucky people are those who lived with him !
